Itinerary

Day 1: MADRID

Welcome to Madrid! Upon arrival in Madrid, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to discover the city at your own pace.

Day 2: MADRID

Your day begins with breakfast at the hotel, then departure for a panoramic tour of Madrid. Enjoy panoramic views and visit the important monuments. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to discover the city at your own pace. Meals: B

Day 3: MADRID > CORDOBA > SEVILLE

Start the day early, and head south from the capital city of Madrid towards Andalusia. Drive along La Mancha, Don Quixote’s land, including a brief stop to a typical site in Puerto Lapice. Cross through the natural border of “Despeñaperros” as you arrive into Andalusia, a region known for its enormous historical and cultural heritage. Upon arriving in Cordoba, enjoy a tour of its iconic Mosque and stroll through its narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon, continue to Seville. Meals: B, D

Day 4: SEVILLE

After breakfast, enjoy a morning panoramic city tour of Seville. During the tour, you will visit the interior of the Cathedral (the 2nd largest in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome), Santa Cruz quarter, Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to discover the city at your own pace. You will have the option of a Flamenco show in the evening. Meals: B, D

Day 5: SEVILLE > GRANADA

Today you will drive east through the Caliphate road towards the heart of Andalusia. Enjoy the landscapes of the endless olive trees on your way to Granada, the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms up to 1492. Visit the world-famous Alhambra complex and Generalife Gardens that have inspired several authors with its sound and sights, such as the “Tales of the Alhambra” by W. Irving. In the evening, enjoy dinner with an optional Gipsy Flamenco show in the Sacromonte quarter. Meals: B, D

Day 6: GRANADA > VALENCIA

Depart your hotel and head toward the Mediterranean Coast. En route, you will pass Murcia, capital of the fertile garden of the Segura river and Alicante, the second-largest city within the region of Valencia. Valencia is one of the main capitals of the Mediterranean coast with its modern Arts and Sciences Architectural Complex integrated by six elements: Hemispheric, Umbracle, Science Museum, Oceanographic, Palau de les Arts and Agora. Valencia is also the home of the internationally well renowned and delicious “Paella”. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Meals: B

Day 7: VALENCIA > BARCELONA

Enjoy a morning city tour of Valencia as drive through the old city showing the most prominent buildings and towards the old riverbed of the Turia. You will also see the most avant-garde complex “Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias” to watch the emblematic exteriors of the six buildings. Your journey continues northward along the Mediterranean coast to Catalonia, via Tarragona, the Roman Tarraco. In the late afternoon, you will reach Barcelona, home of the famous architect Gaudí, the symbol of the Catalonian modernism. Meals: B

Day 8: BARCELONA > CIVITAVECCHIA (OVERNIGHT ON BOARD)

After breakfast, enjoy a panoramic tour of Barcelona visiting the highlights of the city. Discover the amazing views from Montjuic, the monument to Columbus and the Olympic Port as well as the most emblematic monuments of Gaudí – La Pedrera and Casa Batlló, declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Free afternoon to explore on your own and to savour the typical gastronomy until your transfer pickup from the hotel to the port to board the ferry towards Civitavecchia. Departure at approximately 11:00 p.m. Meals: B

Day 9: ARRIVAL IN ROME

Breakfast and lunch on-board the Ferry. During the time of the journey, you can enjoy the variety and quality of services offered on the Ferry. Arrival at Civitavecchia at approximately 8:00 p.m. Disembarkation and transfer to your hotel in Rome. Meals: B, L

Day 10: ROME > ASSISI > SIENA > FLORENCE

Departing at early morning from your hotel by a deluxe coach, you will arrive in Assisi, ready to explore, at your own leisure, this tiny town surrounded by walls, built in the Middle Ages. Take your time to visit the Basilica of St. Francis, where you will see art masterpieces! Board on the bus to reach Siena, a Unesco World Heritage Site, world-known for the Palio, the historical horse race around the shell-shaped town square, Piazza del Campo. Next, you will continue on to Florence, where you will check-in at your hotel before enjoying dinner and a well-earned night of rest. Meals: B, D

Day 11: FLORENCE

After breakfast, you will spend the day venturing around beautiful Florence, the “Cradle of Renaissance, where, with the help of Michelangelo, Italian art reached its pinnacle. You will be fascinated by the uncountable monuments, churches and buildings as Santa Maria del Fiore, more commonly referred to as the Duomo. On your visit, you will be amazed by its magnificent dome built by Filippo Brunelleschi. Spend the afternoon strolling the cobblestone streets of Florence on your own or take a short trip to Pisa (optional), one of the four main historical Marine Republics of Italy. There, you will tour the Piazza dei Miracoli with the Duomo, Pisa’s symbol “the Leaning Tower” and the Baptistery. Dinner at leisure, overnight in Florence. Meals: B, L

Day 12: FLORENCE > BOLOGNA > PADUA > VENICE

After breakfast in Florence, departure to Bologna. There, you will discover the elegant city centre with its “porticos”, it’s shopping streets and so on. In the afternoon, continue toward Padova, with Sant’Antonio Basilica: one of the most visited churches by pilgrims of the Catholic world. Later in the afternoon, arrival in Venice, the City of Love, one of the most romantic cities of the whole world and, undoubtedly the most beautiful city built by man! Check-in at your hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Meals: B, D

Day 13: VENICE

After breakfast, enjoy your private water-taxi transfer to Piazza San Marco, with “Skip the Line” tickets to visit the splendid St. Mark’s Basilica and, after this, check out the most iconic places of the “Floating City”. Spend the afternoon roaming along Venice’s canals at your leisure and then return to the hotel and overnight. Meals: B

Day 14: VENICE > MONTEPULCIANO > ROME

After breakfast, depart to Tuscany, world-known for its landscapes, its churches and castles and its delicious wines. You will proceed to Val di Chiana with a stop in Montepulciano, a medieval town rich in history and art. Known for its “Nobile” wine, on purchase in local wine houses. Enjoy lunch in a typical Tuscan restaurant. After lunch, a quick stop to spend some free time. In the evening, you will arrive in Rome to check-in at your hotel. Meals: B, L

Day 15: ROME

After breakfast, depart from the hotel for the included tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica with exclusive “Skip the Line” access! No stress to reach the area: upon arrival, your guide will lead you into the museums where you’ll visit one of the most important art collections of the world. Walk along the beautiful Galleries of Tapestries and Geographical Maps before admiring Raphael’s Rooms and, then, the amazing Sistine Chapel. After this incredible masterpiece, you will be taken by a privileged door to St. Peter’s Basilica: the biggest church in the world! The tour ends in St. Peter’s Square. Day 16: ROME
