Itinerary

Day 1: MADRID > CORDOBA > SEVILLA

Start the day early, and head south from the capital city of Madrid towards Andalusia. Drive along La Mancha, Don Quixote’s land, including a brief stop to a typical site in Puerto Lapice. Cross through the natural border of “Despeñaperros” as you arrive into Andalusia, a region known for its enormous historical and cultural heritage. Upon arriving in Cordoba, enjoy a tour of its iconic Mosque and stroll through its narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon the journey continues to Seville. Meals: D

Day 2: SEVILLA

After breakfast, enjoy a morning panoramic city tour of Seville. During the tour, you will visit the interior of the Cathedral (the 2nd largest in the Catholic world after St. Peters in Rome), Santa Cruz quarter, Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure to discover the city at your own pace. You will have the option of a Flamenco show in the evening. Meals: B, D

Day 3: SEVILLA > RONDA > COSTA DEL SOL

From Seville, our path will turn east as we make the scenic journey to the mountaintop city of Ronda, where you’ll get time at leisure to admire the city of Celtic origin. In the afternoon the journey continues to the Costa del Sol. Meals: B, D

Day 4: COSTA DEL SOL > FEZ

After breakfast at the hotel, departure from the Costa del Sol to the port. Enjoy a short ferry journey across the Strait of Gibraltar. Arrival in Morocco, disembarkation, customs processes and continuation by coach via Larache to Fez, the most monumental of the Imperial Cities. Its University of Al Karaouin is the largest Islamic sanctuary in Morocco with theological schools, and more. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Meals: B, D

Day 5: FEZ

Today you will enjoy a city tour of Fez. Gaze upon the majestic Royal Palace and before venturing to the heart of the largest old medina in the world. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Meals: B, D

Day 6: FEZ > RABAT > MARRAKESH

After breakfast, depart for Rabat and embark on a city tour including the Royal Palace, Mohammed V Mausoleum followed by the Hassan II Tower, one of the oldest mosques left in existence. Continue on to Marrakesh, the capital of the south located in the oasis between the Atlas Mountains. Meals: B, D

Day 7: MARRAKESH

After breakfast, enjoy the city tour of Marrakesh. Start with the Koutoubia Minaret, built in the middle of the 12th century. Continue to the Jemaa El Fna Square, the most popular touristic attraction in the city, with many traditional Moroccan performances and an ambience that is never found anywhere else, complete with fortune-tellers and snake charmers – a unique open-air setting for taking unforgettable photos. Day 8: MARRAKESH

The day is at your leisure to discover the city at your own pace. Optional tours are available while you are in the city. Meals: B, D

Day 9: MARRAKESH > CASABLANCA

Enjoy the morning to relax in the hotel or wander on your own. Afterwards, transfer to Casablanca. Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour with an outside visit of Hassan II Mosque. Continue to discover the oldest neighbourhoods in the city before returning to your hotel. Meals: B, D

Day 10: CASABLANCA > TANGIER > TARIFA > COSTA DEL SOL

After breakfast, transfer to the port to board the ferry to Spain. Upon arrival in Spain, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Meals: B, D

Day 11: COSTA DEL SOL > GRANADA

Today you will drive towards the heart of Andalusia. Enjoy the landscapes of the endless olive trees on your way to Granada, the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms up to 1492. Visit the world-famous Alhambra complex and Generalife Gardens that have inspired several authors with its sound and sights, such as the “Tales of the Alhambra” by W. Irving. In the evening, enjoy dinner with an optional Gipsy Flamenco show. Meals: B, D

Day 12: GRANADA > TOLEDO > MADRID

Drive northward where it emerges, toward the sky of Castilla and surrounded by the Tagus River, towards the impressive Imperial city of Toledo, a World Heritage City where the three cultures Christians, Moorish and Jewish, have lived together. Take a brief guided tour of this historic old town through its narrow streets as you learn about Spanish art and history. Then proceed to a “Damasquinado” (gold and silver inlaying in iron) factory before returning back to Madrid. Meals: B
